USCGC WILLIAM TRUMP

Project Date: November 2022 - March 2023

Location: Pascagoula, MS

Client: United States Coast Guard (USCG) / Pro Tech Industrial Services

First acquired and launched in late 2014, the United States Coast Guard Cutter William Trump is one of several fast-sailing vessels with a homeport in Key West, Florida. It is classified as a Sentinel cutter for its fast-response capability at sea, and spans approximately 150 ft. in length.

In efforts to refurbish the corrosion control system ensuring the vessel’s longevity, the USCG hired Pro Tech Industrial Services to apply an entire new protective coating onto the ship while docked in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Our lead inspector was hired on behalf of the painting contractor to oversee and perform the Quality Control (QC) inspections of the protective coating installation. With the QC services of the inspection team, the USCG was better assured of the integrity of the corrosion protection offered by the new coating system for their valuable seaworthy asset.
